Information & support

Please follow the links on the left (if using a desktop computer) or in the drop-down menu (if using a mobile) for sources of information and advice, and community and support groups. Links to external organisations are provided for information and do not imply endorsement of particular organisations.

There is also lots of information on all aspects of pregnancy, birth and beyond on:

NHS Choices – pregnancy

and on the websites of the local maternity services:

North Bristol NHS Trust
University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust
Weston Area Health NHS Trust

Other useful websites where you can search for local health, wellbeing and community services and events are:

1BigDatabase
Well Aware

These sites list public, voluntary and commercial organisations and indicate if organisations charge a fee for the services they offer.

The charity Best Beginnings has developed an interactive app called Baby Buddy with input from midwives, doctors and health visitors, designed to support you during pregnancy and as a new parent in order to help you and your family give your baby the best possible start in life. There is a version for pregnancy and for after your baby is born. They would also like feedback on the app.
